HISTORIA

Aretha Louise Franklin, cantante soul, gospel y R&B (rhythm and blues) nacida en Memphis (Tennessee, USA) el 25 de marzo de 1942. Apodada Lady Soul o Queen of the Soul, fue importante en el movimiento racial y la liberación femenina. Su padre era un predicador, que abandonó a la familia siendo Aretha niña y su madre una cantante de gospel. Con 15 años tuvo su primer hijo. Recibió un Grammy en 1995 por toda su carrera.
