HISTORIA

Grupo formado en Hertford (Inglaterra) en 1968 por Ritchie Blackmore (Guitarra), John Lord (Teclado, fallece en julio de 2012), Ian Paice (Batería), Nick Simper (bajo) y Rod Evans (voz). En 1970 Simper y Evans son sustituidos por Roger Glover  (bajo) e Ian Gillan (voz). En 1974 David Coverdale (voz) y Glenn Hughes (bajo) entran a formar parte del grupo y ese mismo año Blackmore abandona el grupo y forma Rainbow y es reemplazado por Tommy Bolin. En 1976 el grupo se disuelve, Coverdale forma Whitesnake y Bolin muere por sobredosis. En 1984 se vuelven a reunir pero en 1989 Gillan lo abandona.
